Broccoli Marathon is an annual, easy to grow, vigorous variety of Broccoli best known for its disease tolerance. Broccoli is full of vitamin D and had a strong, positive impact on our body's detoxification system as well as providing cholesterol lowering benefits. It can be eaten raw in salads and with dips, steamed or stir-fried.
Requiring a position in full sun, Broccoli Marathon should be planted in well-drained soil that has been that has been enriched with compost or manure prior to planting and water regularly to ensure the soil stays moist. Adding mulch on top of your garden bed will help retain moisture in the soil.
Plant Broccoli alongside Beans, Beetroot, Celery, Mint, Thyme, Sage, Onions, Rosemary, Dill, Potatoes, Chamomile, Oregano, Tansy and Coriander
Broccoli Marathon reaches maturity at 10-12 weeks and should be planted 30cm apart.
