Sweet Alyssum
Alyssum Cameo is an easy to grow; low growing annual that produces masses of tiny white, pink & mauve bee attracting perfumed flowers in dense clusters over vibrant green foliage. Alyssum has an incredibly long blooming period and should be planted in spring for masses of sweet smelling flowers in summer.
Ideal for garden beds, borders, rockeries, hanging baskets and pots Alyssum Cameo prefers full sun but can also be planted in partial shade. Plant in well-drained soil that has been enriched with compost or manure prior to planting and water regularly to ensure the soil stays moist. Adding mulch on top of your garden bed will help retain moisture in the soil.
Alyssum requires very little maintenance when growing and is typically used as a ground cover because of it's low growing nature. Prune if desired cutting back after the first flush to promote further flowering.
Alyssum Cameo plants grow up to approx. 100mm high and should be planted 150mm apart.
