SpecificationsViburnum tinus is a medium to large shrub, of large, rich green, shiny leaves that are dense and leathery. In winter, this evergreen shrub produces a profusion of sweetly scented white flowers opening from pink buds, which are followed by blue-black berries. A very popular plant due to its fast growing habit. It is an ideal hedge or screening plant, as it will block out unsightly views, creating privacy. Viburnum tinus is also suitable as a small specimen tree for smaller gardens. Plant in an area of full sun to part shade with moist, well drained soils. Once established, Viburnum tinus is low maintenance, frost tolerant and will tolerate a range of soils and conditions. Light pruning after flowering is beneficial. Apply mulch to help with soil moisture retention. Viburnum tinus can grow to a height of 3metres and width of 2.5 metres.
