SpecificationsCarnation Chabaud produce a spectacular mix of large, double flowers in a vibrant blend of red, rose, yellow and white. Plant in spring for stunning blooms with a subtle fragrance through summer. Ideal for pots, borders, cottage gardens and beautiful cut flowers Carnation Chabaud should be planted in a position in full sun in rich, well-drained soil that has been enriched with compost or manure prior to planting. Water regularly keeping the soil moist, adding mulch on top of your garden bed will help retain moisture in the soil. Carnation Chabaud's petals are edible and used in a variety of salads and other forms of cooking to add colour and a clove like taste to many dishes. Pinch blooms as they die off to encourage more growth and lengthen the flowering period. Prune flowers when they are well formed before the petals open up too far to achieve beautiful cut flowers. Carnation Chabaud grows approx. 50cm high and should be planted 30-35cm apart.
