Robinia inermis is a naturally topiarised tree with a compact, neat and rounded in shape canopy, grafted onto a straight trunk. A very tough and versatile tree that can withstand most situations whilst displaying excellent colour in autumn when its soft, bright green foliage turns yellow before falling. Displays white pea-like flowers in late spring followed by reddish brown seed pods. Can be planted alone or in groups in difficult areas such as small gardens, streets, malls and parks where space is restricted. Elegant in formal gardens or in large pots, on its own as a feature tree. Prefers a sunny position in moist, well drained soil. Keep moist whilst young and apply mulch to conserve soil moisture. Robinia Inermis can reach a height of 5m high and a width of 4m.
