    This Eucalyptus is native to the southwest of Western Australia, also referred to as Tuart. Eucalyptus gomphocephla was a previously sought hardwood timber after for construction and a popluar choice for furniture due to its' grain and colour. Tuarts' are now a protected species due to over logging. Eucalyptus gomphocephala has glossy lanceolate light green foliage, white flowers during Autumn and Winter, and produces large amounts of nectar for honey. Tolerant of coastal winds and sandy alkaline soil. Due to the size Eucalyptus gomphocephla grows to, it is not suitable for small suburban gardens, but is idealy used for street plantings, parks and larger back yards. Eucalyptus gomphocephala can grow to 30 metres high by 15 metres wide.
