SpecificationsBegonia Beefsteak is an excellent houseplant and shade house plant easy to grow and maintain. Its crisp, watery leaves are as round as a pancake, born on watery stems ringed with fine hairs and growing from horizontally creeping rhizomes. The copper and bronze leaves are undercoated with burgundy red. By mid to late winter a show of dramatic, miniature, very pale pink, pendant blooms are held high above the canopy on tall spiky stems. Can tolerate low light as long as you adjust the watering. Keep moist but not wet, a little on the dry side is better. Best in bright indirect light, avoid direct sun. Use a regular houseplant fertiliser but dilute it to less than half strength. Begonia Beefsteak will grow to a height of 45-60cm and a width of 60-90cm.
