SpecificationsThis Australian developed hybrid has stocked the shelves of supermarkets and homes since the discovery in 1868 by 'Granny' Anne Smith of Ryde, New South Wales; hence the name. It's well recognised for its tart flavour and distinctive lime green fruit. During spring an abundance of pale white to pink flowers bloom. Grafted onto dwarf rootstock, Apple Granny Smith Dwarf is well suited to small gardens and pots due to its size, but still bears full size fruit. Excellent for those wanting the best of both worlds; traditional full sized fruit produced from limited space. This deciduous tree will fruit January to May and benefits from full sun exposure. Apple Granny Smith Dwarf is relatively low maintenance. It does prefer regular deep watering when dry and complete fertilising in colder winter months. It is ideal for another apple to be planted nearby; the most well suited being Golden Delicious. Apple Granny Smith Dwarf can grow to a height and width of 2.5 metres.
