Ajuga Princess Nadia
Ajuga Princess Nadia
Ajuga Princess Nadia is a profuse and repeat flowering, tightly foliaged ground-cover. The eye-catching variegated foliage will give your garden year round colour, with the new tip growth a beautiful pink which will intensify during the cooler months. The large purple/blue flowers are supported on spikes above the foliage. The carpet effect of ajuga make it an ideal weed controller as well as the perfect gap-filler. This is a very easy to grow plant which can tolerate any soil that is well-drained. It loves full sun and also part shade, and doesn't need pruning. Remove the spent flowers to encourage re-blooming and fertilize annually with a long term slow release fertiliser. Princess Nadia is great for a splash of colour all year in perennial borders, patio/balcony pots, mixed containers or mass planting. Ajuga ‘Princess Nadia’ copes well with part shade or shade and maintains flowering in both – but you will get the best foliage colour in mottled, bright light or part shade and during cool weather. It makes a great ground cover, creeper, edging plant or container sensation. Plant Ajuga ‘Princess Nadia’ in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Water in well (this takes around four weeks of regular watering – sometimes daily in warm weather) and it will become dry tolerant once established. In pots use a good quality potting mix and add a little fertiliser annually in spring.Ajuga Princess Nadia is a profuse and repeat flowering tightly foliaged ground-cover.
