Acer palmatum, commonly known as the Japanese maple, is an incredibly popular ornamental choice for both domestic and commercial customers. This deciduous tree produces brilliant displays of colour through the seasons. In spring the foliage begins as green deepening to a burnt crimson in autumn. Tiny blooms of red to purple flowers will also appear during spring.
