Grevillea Raspberry Dream (PBR)
Grevillea Raspberry Dream PBR
This beautiful addition to the 'Kings Park' Grevillea Range is an outstanding performer baring masses of soft pink flowers which attract native birds. Raspberry Dream was created with the view that by growing plants adapted to our environment, they will use less water, less fertilizer and provide a habitat for native fauna in our gardens and landscapes. Having a naturally compact growing habit makes Raspberry Dream ideal as a border along paths, fence lines and driveways as well as beds. Mass planted in parks and gardens is always a feature. Grevillea have exotic flowers in many colours, and Raspberry Dream is no exception. They are a pretty pink , and not unlike a tooth-brush in shape. Each flower-head is made up of small flowers which are densely crowded onto heads or spikes with their most conspicuous feature being the long styles which are first bent over like a hair pin and then straighten out. This bushy shrub has attractive lobed foliage and due to it causing skin irritation to some people it is advised to plant in an area where brushing past them can be avoided. Being a variety that flowers virtually all-year-round makes this a very decorative plant in any garden. Raspberry Dream enjoys full sun to part-shade and as with most Grevillea, can tolerate many kinds of soil as they are very hardy and resilient so almost any well-drained soil is suitable. As with most of these hardy natives, once established these tough plants require occasional watering during the dry hot months. Mulching to retain moisture and control weeds is an advantage. This grevillea doesn't require trimming but will tolerate a moderate to heavy pruning if required. Grevillea Raspberry Dream can reach 1.5m in height and 1.5m wide. Great in rockeries and as a tub specimen Pink Profusion adds a continuous display of colour to any area. Little or no maintenance required. Prune lightly to maintain shape as required and a slow-release native fertilizer now and then if needed will keep Raspberry Dream looking amazing! This beautiful addition to the 'Kings Park' Grevillea Range is an outstanding performer baring masses of soft pink flowers which attract native birds.
