Grevillea Karijini Moon is another beautiful addition to the Kings Park Collection.
We are still gathering information on this one but it is similar in size and habit to the Scarlet Moon.
As part of the Kings Park plant breeding program ‘Karijini Moon’ is another very successful grevillea hybrid which can be grown virtually anywhere in Australia. This lovely plant is a hardy bird attracting shrub that boasts vibrant silvery-green foliage and white flower buds which open to become beautiful large and spectacular scarlet flowers that continue to bloom throughout the year. The flowers on 'Karajini Moon' differ in that the flowers are more cylindrical than toothbrush, enclosing the stem. Attracting birds and nectar-loving insects, 'Karijini Moon' brings life and tranquility to your garden. An ideal specimen for an informal screen, it reaches 1.6m tall and 1.6m wide. Suitable for all native and rock gardens, mass planted, or as a feature in a larger decorative container in your outdoor entertainment areas. Like all grevillea, 'Karijini Moon' thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. Lightly prune the plant to maintain a dense compact habit. Apply slow release native fertilizer every 6-12 months as required.
