Giant Elephant Ear
Alocasia lauterbachiana is a tender upright evergreen perennial with stiff, waxy, dark green leaves that have burgundy undersides and purple mottled stems. Inconspicuous greenish blossoms with a central finger-like spadix and a clasping petal-like bract sometimes borne at the leaf bases. These lush beautiful plants gives a tropical feel wherever planted. Best in part to full shade with organic, well drained soil. A great feature plant for containers and houseplant. This Elephant ear tolerates moist conditions but not standing water.
Alocasia lauterbachiana will row to a height of 0.9m-1.2m and a width of 0.9-1.5m.
